House Finch
This male House Finch is a regular member of the Reddirt Breakfast Club. I have them year round, but more in the winter when food isn’t as plentiful and northern birds have moved down. They love sunflowers and white millet.

These handsome birds have recovered their numbers in Ohio after the disease that thinned their numbers in the 1990s abated.
That is great. These are really good-natured little birds. Never a problem around the feeders. The bluebirds pay them no mind, so long as they don’t try to land on their box. That’s off limits to everyone.
